DRA Global was awarded, on an EPC basis, the contact for the design review, procurement, construction and commissioning of the Yaramoko gold processing plant and related infrastructure. The Yaramoko gold processing plant is situated 200 km southwest of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, with an annual throughput of 270 000 tonnes per annum.
The feed ore to the plant is characterised by high levels of alluvial gold. The project was hot commissioned in less than 12 months from the contract being awarded. On completion the project team had poured 1 900 cubic meters of concrete, erected 230 tonnes of structural steel, 95 tonnes of plate works, installed 17 000 meters of piping and 24 000 meters of cabling, shipped 120 sea containers of equipment and construction materials.
