Project description
The Voskhod mining plant, owned by Oriel Resources, is a high-quality chrome ore concentrate producer located in North West Kazakhstan, 90km from Aktobe.
Services offered
DRA Global was involved from feasibility study phase which included supervision of the test work, interpretation of the results and detailed costings. The ore body included both disseminated and massive chromitites and the plant design was required to cope with the extreme climatic conditions on-site.
DRA Global was awarded the contract for the design and construction of the plant. The processing plant uses state of the art technology reflecting the latest achievements of leading chrome producers.
Average annual output from the plant is 1.3 million tonnes of mined chrome ore and 900,000 tonnes of lump, chip and concentrate
