Project description
The Kola Potash Project is a Greenfield project situated in the Kouilou Province in the south west corner of the Republic of Congo (ROC) in West Coastal area of Centre Africa. The main features of the Kola Potash Project consist of the underground mining of a sylvinite deposit and the industrial processing of the raw sylvinite ore into a marketable Muriate of Potash (MoP) product. The Process Plant is designed to produce 2.0 Mtpa of Muriate of Potash (MoP). The Kola Potash Project is one of the three mining complexes projected by KORE POT-ASH LIMITED (K2P) for the Sintoukola Project located 96 km north of Pointe Noire.
The Feasibility Study was completed by a French Consortium (FC) composing of Technip France, Vinci Construction Grands Projects, Egis International and Louis Dreyfus Armateurs. DRA Projects in Johannesburg, South Africa and DRA Americas - Met-Chem in Montreal Canada are compiling the Shafts design and Under-ground Mining portion of the Study.

Feasibility Study includes for the full scope of works including engineering, design, procurement for mining, vertical shafts, ventilation, limited surface infrastructure, mine scheduling, and capital and operating cost estimate, for the initial, deferred and sustaining capital phases for a life of mine of 20 years.
