The Merlin 0.7 Mtpa DMS Plant, located 80 km south- of Borroloola in the Northern Territory of Australia, was a DRA EPCM project and involved the engineering design, equipment procurement, SMPP fabrication, logistical delivery to site, SMPP and E&I construction, as well as commissioning of the diamond processing facility and ancillary infrastructure.
Site clearing started in mid-1999, with first product stockpiled late 2000, approximately 11 months later.
The 100 tph plant processes kimberlite and employs Dense Media Seperation technology.
