Project description /

The prospecting operations are spread over an extensive area in the central Karoo region around the main commercial centre of Beaufort West and collectively cover an extent in excess of 7,500 km2. A complete mine design and production schedule was developed for the 9-year Life of Mine at 100kt per month steady state production. Production is concurrently sourced from surface and UG operations.

Both the Scoping and Internal Pre-feasibility studies were conducted by DRA Global who were responsible for the full scope of works including geotechnical, mining, process, infrastructure, capital, operating and sustaining costing and project management to prove the operability and viability of the project.
