DRA wins operations and maintenance contract in APAC

DRA Global is pleased to continue its relationship with Bravus Mining and Resources after securing a multimillion-dollar contract for the operations and maintenance services of the Carmichael Coal Handling and Preparation facility (CHPP) in central Queensland, Australia.

The three-year contract, with one plus one-year options, is the first operations and maintenance services contract for DRA in APAC and has created 48 new jobs in the region.

The O&M contract follows on from DRA completing both the engineering procurement and construction of the facility and demonstrates that our business has the experience and capabilities to deliver high-value operations and maintenance services in responsible mining.

Under this contract, DRA is:

  • supplying the people and equipment to operate and optimise Bravus Mining and Resources' coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) including the CPP and CHP;
  • supplying people and equipment to provide stockpile management and reclaiming services at the Train Load Out Facility to meet the train loading schedule; and
  • providing maintenance planning, scheduling, and all maintenance requirements.

DRA offers a wide range of services designed to make mineral processing requirements more cost-effective while maintaining product quality, plant integrity and worker safety.
