DRA Global has been awarded an Engineering and Procurement contract with Arcelor Mittal at the Las Truchas mine in Mexico.
DRA has been heavily involved in the project, working with Arcelor Mittal from initial concept in 2012, to completing the Definitive Feasibility Study, and now on the Las Truchas Revamp Project.
The project involves building a new iron ore concentrator and transferring the ore feed to the new facility. DRA will assist with the commissioning of the new concentrator and start-up assistance.
Las Truchas is an open pit mine located 27km from Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacán in Mexico.
